Police Officers Harassed, Accused Me Of Carrying Charm – Akah Nnani

Nollywood actor Akah Nnani has narrated his experience with police officers while on a recent taxi ride. The actor explained how it began saying it was after police officers stopped the car he was in, along Ring Road Bridge.

The actor alleged that over 20 police officers were on the bridge who claimed to be conducting a stop-and-search operation without an official police vehicle.

He frowned at such asking how the police officers would be traced if they did something bad at the scene.

Akah Nnani said he was angered when one of the police officers who came to the car he was in, pointed his gun at him and the driver without without reason. The actor said he asked the officer to stop pointing his gun at them and the police officer who he described as a “black faced criminal “ got angry.

Nnani pointed out that the police officers had asked them to drive to a dark alley, away from the bridge and other road users which he resisted. He also added that the police accused him of having a charm after they notice a local drum carving attached to his house key.

However, they allowed him to leave after one of them enquired about his profession and went through his photos and videos.

The actor  alleged that the police officers who  harassed him had a SWAT inscription on their outfit, which is the replacement of the disbanded SARS.
