I Was Denied Roles For 14 Years Because I Refused To Sleep With Producers – Actress Jumoke George
Actress Jumoke George has revealed that she did not leave Nollywood industry on her own will but was forced to leave after she was denied movie roles for over 14-years.
Jumoke who revealed this during an interview with Punch said she was denied movie roles simply because she refused to give in to sexual advances from men in the industry.
According to her, “I did not leave (the industry) of my own volition. Some people in the industry wanted to sleep with me and I stood my ground that I would not do that with anyone in that sector.
Because of that, I was not used or called for acting jobs for 14 years.” She said.
