Chaos As Gas Explosion Injures 20 In Kano

At least 20 persons were reportedly injured following a gas explosion at a Liquefied Petroleum Gas refilling shop at Sheka quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.

The sad incident happened at about 8:00pm on Thursday, after a cylinder exploded, which also led to the destruction of some shops.

GWG gathered that the fire started when a fish seller was frying fish near the gas refilling shop.

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusuf, confirmed the incident.

He said that the 20 affected persons were rescued alive and taken to hospital for treatment.
