A Catholic priest, yet to be identified has stirred massive reactions on social media after a viral video of the priest sending parishioners without their Permanent Voters Card, PVC back away from Church.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that a Roman Catholic Church parish somewhere in the country on Sunday, June 12, 2022 implemented a resolution barring parishioners without the Permanent Voters Card, PVC from entering the church building for service.

According to the video which is said to have occurred somewhere in Nigeria, the priest stressed the need for Christians to take up their responsibilities seriously.

The priest stated that going on, only those with their voters cards would be allowed into the church.

Addressing members at the entrance of the cathedral, the priest said:

“From today, if you are coming for mass, carry your PVC, if you don’t have your PVC, don’t bother coming.

“Because there is no point in having Christians fill the church, but during the election, we have only a handful of them go out to vote. “So, it means our number, our population means nothing. We want Christians to take their responsibility and their role seriously.”

However the priest asked people who had their voter’s card to come into the church while others who haven’t gotten theirs were sent home.

See reactions on the sending of parishoners without PVC from church:

chidiebererex: the best approach, faith without work is death…. We can’t be praying and not working towards a better Nigeria

Jennifer Chidimma: ever since I was a teen in my parish they’ve been praying for Nigeria in distress. Let’s pray for her with our PVC

Tessy gold: I like that, no PVC no entering of church Nigeria must be better

Vineme blessing: I am not in support of this one, people have different reasons going to church to pray to our God, the church is a place to prepare people to heaven……Rev father you over do this particular one, the Catholic Church is a universal church the pope is not aware of this one

Apst blossom ikechi: wrong approach, we should not start playing the card that may not have an end what if they all have the PVC and still refuse to come out on Election Day to vote?? or what if they vote and vote for the wrong person still
