Ekiti: Nigerians React As Thugs Harass Voter, Mother Over Vote Buying

Sharp reactions have trailed the report that a voter and his mother were beaten up by thugs when he challenged the vote buying racket organised by one of the major political parties during the Ekiti State governorship election on Saturday.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that a voter at Ward 01, Idofin, Odo-Ado, Ado-Ekiti alleged that suspected political thugs serving reportedly the interests of the All Progressives Congress APC beat him up when he challenged them over vote-buying in his polling unit.

The voter said the thugs also slapped his mother who went with him to cast his ballot.

Narrating his ordeal, Omole said he got to the polling unit with his mother to cast his vote for his preferred candidate, and while in the queue, he noticed some irregularities and decided to find out what was going on.

The report has stirred numerous reactions from social media users as many outrightly condemned such act.
