Funke Akindele: Another Husband Breaks Marriage On Social Media

For the second time in as many marriages, Funke Akindele got to know of the end of her marriage to JJC Skillz on social media, perhaps hours after many people got the news early on Thursday. 

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that movie producer Abdul Bello aka JJC Skillz on Thursday morning announced the dissolution of his marriage to super star actress, Funke Akindele on Instagram saying the relationship has been troubled for over two years.

According to JJC Skillz, Funke Akindele asked him to leave her house three months ago and that they have subsisting issues to disentangle in business while they work out procedures for co-parenting their two children.

However, GreenWhiteGreen GWG recalls that this is not the first time the actress is experiencing a failed marriage as she was once  married to Kehinde Oloyede, a Lagos-based businessman, in 2012 and the marriage lasted for only 413 days as issues of abuse surrounded the union.

According to Funke, during a chat with Chude Jideonwo on his show #WithChude, while admonishing young women against rushing into marriage because of pressure, she cited her first marriage as an example which she said ended on social media.

In her words: “You know, I just wanted to get married,” Akindele-Bello said. “I want to do things right, have children and all that. And I went into the (first) marriage, it didn’t work fine. And it ended in a very bad way, in social media, the noise was everywhere. I was actually filming and somebody called me and told me, I wanted to die!

“You know I cried, lost some good deals then. But I didn’t let it’s break me.”

Fortunately after the crash of her first marriage,  Funke In 2016, found love again and married music star, Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, a marriage which has produced two children and lasted for nine year before it crashed.

Just like Funke Akindele got to know of the crash of her first marriage on social media, she also got to know of the crash of her second marriage on social media after JJC Skillz went on Instagram to announce the end of the marriage.
