Jest, Joy, Trail Emergence Of Funke Akindele As Lagos PDP Guber Running Mate

Mixed reactions were on Wednesday trailing the news that Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele had emerged as the running mate to Lagos Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) governorship candidate Alhaji Abdulaziz Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that The “Jenifa Diary” actress had been severally reported to have been nominated as PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate for Lagos State.

It was reported that Funke Akindele was among five persons considered as potential running mate to the party’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Abdulaziz Olajide Adediran.

Others mentioned were former governorship aspirant, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour; former Senatorial candidate for Lagos East Yeye Shobajo; another governorship aspirant David Kolawole Vaughan known as DAKOVA and Engr. Teslim Balogun”.

As expected, the report has stirred mixed reactions from social media users as many applauded the political movement in Nollywood while others countered it. Many dragged Funke following the recent crisis surrounding her marriage saying she was unfit to be the PDP running mate in Lagos.
