Chaos As Fuel Tanker Falls, Spills Content In Lagos

There was chaos in the Costain area of Lagos on Tuesday when a loaded tanker fell and spill its contents on the road.

It was gathered that the tanker fell while ascending the Costain bridge heading towards Iponri.

The tanker blocked the main carriageway while spilling its fuel content.

According to reports by the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency on Twitter, emergency services are on the scene and traffic is being diverted.

It said, “An Accident involving a loaded tanker happened while ascending the Costain Bridge in Iponri, blocking access to the road. “Counter-flow is now being adopted. Men on ground.

“Men of @LAG_FireService @LagosRescue are on ground, and our men are on ground adopting counter-flow in order to ensure traffic movement and safety of motorists and road users.”
