Muslim-Muslim Ticket: Nollywood Star, Kenneth Okonkwo Hailed For Refusing To Live In Bondage
Veteran Nollywood star Kenneth Okonkwo was on Tuesday getting the plaudits from across the polity after he famously dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC upon its adoption of a Muslim-Muslim ticket with Nigerians hailing the Living in Bondage star for his action.
Okonkwo, a lawyer who played Andy in the 1992 Home Video, Living in Bondage which is regarded as the first film that kicked off the Nigerian Nollywood industry, resigned his membership of the APC on Monday following the adoption of two Muslims as presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that, Kenneth Okonkwo made his stance on his Instagram page saying he he withdrew his membership in the interest of equity, justice, fairness and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.
In his words: “If Muslims could voluntarily vote for southern presidents it is then a fallacy to insinuate that they cannot accept a northern Christian vice president.
“This will permanently destroy the political viability of Northern Christians in Nigeria if allowed to stand. This is in the addition to the failure to protect lives and properties of Nigerians which should be their primary responsibility. The country is also in shatters.”
Reacting to Kenneth Okonkwo’s decision on the Muslim-Muslim ticket, Nigerians hailed the Living in Bondage star as many declared him a patriot, while others stated that they won’t forget in a hurry his support for the present administration especially prior to the 2019 election.

I vividly remember dude @iamkennethokonkwo blocking some of us penultimate 2019 election when he was going around telling us in Enugu that our fate and prosperity only lie with Buhari and APC who will.make sure a SE person succeeds Buhari ????.
