PDP Wins Government House Polling Unit, Leading Statewide With 13,000 Votes
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has won the election in the polling unit in the Osun State Government House, in Oshogbo even as it has maintained a lead in the overall votes count as at 9.00 pm.
With about 150,000 votes called in, the PDP’s Senator Ademola Adeleke is leading with more than 10,000 votes having polled 84,063 votes while the incumbent and APC candidate, Governor Gboyega Oyetola polling 71,830 votes.
The others notably the SDP and the Labour Party candidates are polling 386 and 317 votes respectively and are presently at third and fourth respectively as at 9.00 pm.
The developments according to sources is stretching the nerves of the APC and PDP officials from their situation room being manned by Senator Bukola Saraki are urging their supporters and agents to be vigilant to ensure victory for the party.
Meanwhile, at the Osun Government House polling unit, Adeleke polled 117 votes to win over the governor who polled 106 votes. The Government House polling unit is at Agowande/ Oshogbo GRA/ Governor’s office polling unit, and is in Olorunda Local Government Area.
Meanwhile, the PDP is reported to have for the first time in recent election cycles also won Osogbo, the state capital and Ila Local Government Area, from where the governor comes from.
