Morocco Beat Nigeria To Qualify For WAFCON Final

Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses on Monday night defeated nine man Nigerian Falcons to qualify for the Women African Cup of Nations finals.

The Atlas Lionesses defeated the Nigerian team on penalties after forcing the nine man team to a 1-1 draw at the end of ninety minutes and an extra time of 30 minutes.

The lionesses scored all five of their penalties while the Nigerian girls could only score four.

Morocco would now meet South Africa in the finals. Nigeria are the defending champions.

The Nigerian team was reduced to nine in the middle of the second half after two red cards.
