Akan Okon has, however, taken up the court case to upturn the emergence Umo Eno as the candidate.

Speaking after the court case commenced, a confident Akan Okon through a series of tweets assured his supporters to be calm while he pursues the case against Umo Eno.

He said:

Today, I appeared in the Federal High Court of Nigeria holden in Uyo for hearing of the suits between myself and Umo Eno over falsification of his academic credentials and the discrepancies in his date of birth.

I must commend His Lordship Justice Okeke led court for today’s 1/3proceeding. I am confident that justice will be served at the end of the day.

While commending my counsel, I want to urge us all to be calm as God has the final say in every situation.

The case has been adjourned to Thursday the 21st day of July,2022 for accelerated hearing.
