Different Reactions Trail Arrest Of Yahoo Boys Impersonating Peter Okoye

Different reactions have been trailing the disclosure by popular Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye better known as Mr P of the arrest of suspected internet fraudsters (Yahoo Boys) who impersonated him to scam Nigerians.

Peter who had been wrongly accused severally of scamming people with his online giveaway platform, ‘Zoom’ revealed that the 17 suspects were arrested, interrogated and charged to court with full evidence.

The singer who disclosed these on his Twitter handle said that the Yahoo boys created  bank accounts bearing his name which they use to dupe people of their hard earned money.

Making the announcement, Mr P wrote: “ Take a good look at some of the fraudsters you are indirectly paying your hard earned money into the bank account they created as PETER OKOYE all in the name of “ZOOM GIVEAWAY”!

Over 17 of them have been arrested and interrogated and charged to court with full evidence! ??

Reacting to his post, social media users via the comment section gave their verdict on the issue. While many pleaded with the singer to pity the young men noting that they were just looking for a means of survival, others out rightly condemned the act.
