2023: Why We Lost Kano Governorship Election to Kwankwaso's NNPP – APC Chair, Adamu

Mr Abdulaziz Danladi, member representing Keffi East Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has officially resigned from All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, compounding the crisis and rebellion that has engulfed the party in the home base of the national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Speaker of the house made this known while reading Abdulaziz resignation letter during the House siting on Monday in Lafia.

The speaker said that based on the letter, Abdulaziz had joined Action Alliance (AA).

“This is a letter from Hon Abdulaziz Danladi, member representing Keffi East Constituency, informing the house on his resignation from APC.

“The letter reads as thus : Notice of change of party. I wish to formally inform the house of my resignation from All Progressives Congress (APC).

“This is due to internal party issues which the party has yet to resolve.

“I, therefore, resign from APC and join Action Alliance (AA),” he said.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the resignation of the lawmaker representing the state constituency of the national chairman is indicative of the crisis that has engulfed the party in Nasarawa State since the emergence of Senator Adamu as national chairman of the party.

Adamu had emerged as chairman of the party against the desire of the leadership of the party which had endorsed and pushed forward the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Tanko al-Makura. Following his emergence, the national leadership was reported to have altered nominations made by the state chapter of the party on candidates’ list for the 2023 election.
