Applause Follows Disqualification Of Portable From 2022 Headies
The social media space has been applauding the decision of the Headies Academy to withdraw the two nominations (Rookie of the Year and Best Street Hop) put up for the controversial Nigerian singer, Portable.
This was made known on Tuesday 26th July 2022 via the Headies social media platforms.

The Headies Academy’s decision was as a result of Portable’s recent run against the law and notably after he claimed to be the founder of the dreaded cult group ‘one million boys’ gang which terrorized Lagos residents during the lock down.
Portable who later denied this claim after it after massive backlash and attracting police investigation.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG recalls that the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner had also threatened to kill other nominees should he lose either of the two categories he was nominated for.
Reacting to the update, social media users hailed the Headies over the decision as many claims the singer does not deserve the nomination.
