With Nigerians from across the country lamenting the challenges facing the country from insecurity to the bad economy, not surprisingly, many are now desperately crying out for the return of the country by President Muhammadu Buhari to the days of his predecessor, President Goodluck Jonathan.

On Thursday the chants for Jonathan trended on Twitter with many Nigerians wishing for those days despite what was then felt as the worst form of government.

Responding on twitter, social media users via their handles while expressing disappointment in the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration remembered Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP for what they now termed as his good deeds.

Controversial lawyer, Reno Omokri while lamenting the situation of the country made a comparison of the Buhari era and the former’s president regime. He wrote: “Under Goodluck Jonathan

Fuel was ₦87. It is now ₦179

Bag of rice was ₦8k. It is now ₦42k

Dollar was ₦199. It is now ₦700

Coke was ₦60. It is now ₦180

A sachet of tomato paste was ₦40. It is now ₦160

Excess Crude had $2.1 billion. It now has $376k”

@is_salsu: Buhari makes me miss Goodluck Jonathan as President. Things were not this bad. Dollar wasn’t this bad. The security wasn’t this bad. I can’t hold back my tears, they have finished this Country.

@nkemchor_: Goodluck Jonathan deserves an apology.

He didn’t do a quarter of the things buhari did yet Nigerians rewarded Bubu with a second term

@somakavalli: When goodluck Jonathan was fighting this with brutal force through General Ihejirika all the elites in the north tagged it an anti North agenda. Now see were we are today, Insecurity everywhere. Look at the pains in her voice, I pray God heals our wounds ?. ???

@firstladyship: Excess Crude Account setup by Obasanjo to SAVE for rainy day, is now depleted by Buhari & his men. Goodluck Jonathan left $2.1 Billion inside that ECA when he handed over to Buhari. Right now, you have just $376,000 balance in it. Dollar is N710 Naira. Nigeria is BROKE & in DEBT.
