500 Level Student Jumps To Death From Hostel After Taking Mkpuru Mmri

A 500-level student of the Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture Umudike, MOUAU, Abia State, identified as Modestus Hyacinth Egbulefu has reportedly committed suicide by jumping down from his three storey hostel after reportedly taking the native drug, Mkpuru mmri.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG gathered that Egbulefu took his own life after consuming the hard substance in the Ikwuano council area of the state.

The incident happened at about 9:40 am on Sunday morning at the students’ lodge.

Sources disclosed that Egbulefu, a student of the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, climbed and jumped off from the 3-storey building identified as Groom Base Lodge after allegedly taking the hard drug suspected to be ‘Mkpuru mmri.’

Egbulefu died on the spot before he could receive medical attention.

Reports said that his corpse has since been deposited at an undisclosed mortuary in the area.

The Abia State Police Command is yet to make an official comment on the incident, and efforts to get the reaction of the Police Public Relations Officer for Abia State Command, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna, also proved abortive.

Meanwhile, the family of the student is yet to react to the death of their ward after the news of his suicide mkpuru mmri.
