Popular Nollywood actors including Segun Arinze, Ejike Asiegbu, Charles Inojie, Kate Henshaw and Chinedu Ikedieze on Friday night paid tributes to the late Ada Ameh at the candle light service organised by the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN.

The candle light service was held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

Speaking at the event, Segun Arinze urged those going through mental health crisis to reach out to their loved ones. He added that Ada’s demise was a huge loss to Nollywood, Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.

“I want to urge everyone, every actor, every producer, everyone in the Nollywood family, pick your phone talk to someone, check on them, you never can tell what that person is going through,” he said in parts.

On his part, Ejike Asiegbu described Ada as a courageous, intelligent woman, talented and vibrant artiste. He noted that although Ada lived a very short life, she impacted a lot of people.

Charles Inojie, on behalf of The Johnsons cast, stated that the deceased was the most compassionate, humane and most loveable person he knew.

Ada Ameh’s younger sister Ene also paid a tribute to her at the candlelight.

Others who attended the event include Chinyere Winifred, Ken Erics and Grace Amah.

Ada Ameh, aged 48, died on Sunday, July 17, 2022, two years after the death of her daughter Aladi.
