Rigging: Nigerians Warn INEC Not To Safeguard 2023 Election
Nigerians are continuing to express concern over the 2023 General Election with the latest back and forth over the use of manual transmission by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), triggering fears of rigging.
This is coming after the commission clarified claims of reverting to the manual transmissions of election results.

GWG recall that, news broke out at the weekend that the commission is intending to transmit the 2023 election results manually. After massive backlash from Nigerians, INEC via a statement denied the claims.
GWG reports that, the National Commissioner and Chairman of its Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, while clarifying the issues, noted that the electronic transmission of results remained on the card.
This was contained in a statement titled, ‘Clarification On Electronic Transmission Of Election Result.’ The statement read, “The Independent National Electoral Commission’s attention has been drawn to a misunderstanding arising from a recent short interview granted to a national newspaper on the procedure for result management during elections.
“Some have interpreted the explanation on result management procedure to mean that the Commission has jettisoned the electronic transmission of result and reverted to the manual process. This is not correct.
“For clarity, the procedure for result transmission remains the same as in recent Governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun States. There will be no change in all future elections, including the 2023 General Election.
However, Nigerians still express fears over the confusion created by INEC as many continue to suspect fowl play from the commission, making many to send numerous warnings against rigging via their handles.

Is INEC ready for a free and fair election in 2023?
I am beginning to entertain fears that INEC @inecnigeria may not conduct a free, fair and transparent election in 2023. The latest redeployment of Engr Chidi Nwafor, the Director of ICT is a sign that all is not well… pic.twitter.com/4SoyJlLW87

It will be a very sad tale and a big tragedy if anyone asides Peter Obi wins in 2023. What we should really be worried about are sale of votes by Nigerians. This will be the problem. Also, INEC compromising. I don't like the vibrations i am getting at all.
Heaven help us.
