Nigerians Smell Conspiracy In Obasanjo, Wike, Peter Obi Meeting

Nigerians have been stoking speculations of conspiracy in the meeting in London on Thursday of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Mr Peter Obi and the camp of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governors led by Mr Nyesom Wike.

Others spotted in the photos at the meeting included Donald Duke, Seyi Makinde, Samuel Ortom and Okezie Ikpeazu.

Though details of the meeting are yet to be revealed, many Nigerians have, however, gone on social media to pour out their different views as to the natue of the meeting.

Recall that Obasanjo had recently played host to several presidential candidates listed for the 2023 elections among whom was Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

A participant on the side of Tinubu, Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila had gone forward to present his reading of the meeting between Tinubu and Obasanjo as a positive for the former Lagos State governor.

GWG reports that the action prompted Obasanjo to denounce the assertions as fake as he noted that those behind the report were not helping the candidate.

So, against the background of the doubtful endorsement of Tinubu, Nigerians were taking to their handles on Thursday to give their interpretations of the meeting between the PDP chiefs led by Wike, and Peter Obi, a man that some have alleged as the favourite candidate of President Obasanjo.
