The new members were welcomed to the party by the governorship candidate, Hon. (Dr.) Oladipupo Adebutu and his deputy, Hon Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade in Ogun State in a development some said were enough reasons for the incumbent governor, Dapo Abiodun to fear following the defections.

The way Ladi Adebutu, Aderinokun and other PDP Stakeholders are mobilising in Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun may not win more than two units in the whole of Ogun State. I don't deceive myself in politics the only reason I follow known winners. Atiku leads, Nigerians follow.
