2023: Reactions As Kenneth Okonkwo Pitches For Peter Obi In Arise TV Interview

Popular Nollywood Actor Kenneth Okonkwo has roused passion for the Labour Party after an alluring performance on Arise TV where he passionately espoused the goals and mission of the Obidient Movement.

GWG reports that the actor who recently joined the Labour Party (LP), after decamping from the All Progressive Congress (APC) spoke about the Labour Party and the 2023 elections during his Arise TV interview with Summer Sambo.

Recall that the veteran actor had dumped his former party, APC following the party’s decision to continue with the Muslim-Muslim ticket adopted by the presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Kenneth Okonkwo announced his membership of Labour Party on his Instagram account, on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 while sharing pictures of himself with Labour Party executives in Abuja.

‘’It was an honour and a privilege to be welcomed into the Labour Party on the 23rd of August, 2022, at the Supreme God House, Apo, Abuja, by the entire executive of the FCT Labour Party, led by its Chairman, Comrade Peter Diugwu, representing the National Executive of the Party.
“I feel loved and cherished by the visit of these distinguished officials of this people-centric party to our chambers which culminated in my officially joining the Labour Party as a member.”

GWG reports that Okonkwo when asked on Arise TV if political leaders like former president Obasanjo and Nyesom Wike of Rivers State would not disrupt Peter Obi’s agenda, said ” Peter Obi was the only APGA Governor yet he was firm. You need everyone to win an election but you don’t outsource leadership to them. Peter Obi will succeed because of his content, conviction, courage, competence.

Reacting to clips if the interview that surfaced on social media, Nigerians via their handles aired their opinions.
