Elder-statesman and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chief, Senator Roland Owie has urged Governor Nyesom Wike to come to terms with the reality of his fate having done his best in the past to shoulder the party.

Responding to the continuing discord in the party arising from the conduct of the presidential primaries, Owie in a statement made available to GWG also called on close friends of Governor Wike, notably Chief Dan Orbih, Prof Jerry Gana and Mohammed Adoke.

Owie, erstwhile Chief whip of the Senate in the message to Wike, said:

“I just read a write up, by one IKENNA OKOYE, titled, “MAKING A RIDICULE OF PARTY  POLITICS” concerning Gov. Wike, on one of the platforms, that I belong.

My question is, where were the other leaders when Wike, I am told, picked up the bills of the party?

Yes! Those who testify and witness to the truth will be hated by palace jesters around power, but truth stands forever.  I humbly urge Gov. Wike, to look at the face of God, who owns his life and gives power to whom He wills and has be with him from the womb till today.

He should look back and know that he got to where he is today, not by power or by might but by the Power of God. He has been a pillar in PDP. He should know, “IF GOD KEPT A RECORD OF OUR SINS, WHO COULD STAND THEIR GROUND?” (Ps.130-v. 3)

He should read the Bible, 1 Kings 3:16-28.

I urge my true brothers, Prof. Jerry Gana and former AGF Bar Adokie, SAN and Chief Dan Orbih to read with  Gov. Wike particularly verse 26 of that scripture.

I urge Gov. Wike and his real apostles to hand all issues to God, and give peace a chance in PDP. Only God gives power and all that is good come from Him.

May God bless all genuine members of PDP in Jesus Name. Some of us have seen it all. The road to peace and forgiveness is the only way to tread.

Senator Roland Stephen Owie. (KSJI).Member House of Reps, (1979-83) Senator (1999-2003).
