NANS Demand Resignation Of Min Of Edu, Adamu Adamu

The National Association of Nigerian Students NANS on Tuesday called for the resignation of the Minister of Education, Mr Adamu Adamu, over the lingering strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU.

The leadership of NANS said this during the protest that took place on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway alleging that the minister had shown no interest in dialoguing with ASUU to call off the strike.

NANS Vice President (External Affairs), Akinteye Babatunde, said the blockade would continue in different locations until the Federal Government resolved the impasse with the lecturers.

“This protracted strike is becoming a madness and the student populace will not take it,” he added.
