My Regime Has Done Extremely Well – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) has stated that his administration had done “very well” given the scant resources at its disposal. He said this about his regime on Tuesday in Owerri, Imo State.

The President spoke at the Imo State Government House in Owerri, the state capital, after inaugurating the Owerri-Orlu Road, phase one of the Owerri-Okigwe Road, and the state House of Assembly complex renovated by the state governor’s administration, Hope Uzodimma.

He said that despite the little resources at his disposal, his regime was able to accomplish a great deal.

“This administration has performed admirably. I had to say it because those who should be saying it aren’t. “I’m not sure why,” the President explained.

He praised his administration for driving out Boko Haram terrorists in the North East and addressing infrastructure degeneration, which he claimed he inherited from the Peoples Democratic Party administration in 2015.
He thanked Uzodimma for inviting him to launch initiatives carried out by his administration for the second time in a year.

He committed to continue assisting all states, regardless of party allegiance, in delivering infrastructure assets.

According to him, the Federal Government will continue to support Imo State’s government in order to ensure that the people continue to reap the benefits of democracy.

“This support is equally available to all the states of the federation irrespective of the differences in political party affiliations,” Buhari stated.

While commending the governor of Imo for prioritizing construction and institutional reforms over the last three years, President Buhari stated that his administration will leave a legacy of big development projects across the country.

Buhari praised Uzodimma for his work in establishing the state, saying, “You have written your history.”

Uzodimma noted in his speech that the roads his administration (Buhari’s regime) inaugurated had been abandoned for decades by past administrations.

The governor, who claimed that his government had built 105 roads in less than three years, said that the state’s economy will benefit as a result.
