Delta Lady Hands Over Brother Who Killed Wife To Police

A lady in Abraka, Delta State has invited the police to apprehend his brother after he allegedly killed his wife and ran to her for refuge.

The suspect, who was identified as Taiye, according to GWG sources hacked his wife, Endurance to death in Oviorie-Ovu community, Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.

Following the deed, he was said to have fled to his sister in Abraka not far away.

GWG reports that the reason for the killing has left many wondering as there was no immediate reason for the alleged action.

It was gathered that the deceased had eight children before she got married to the suspect before he did the act following which he fled to the sister.

The lady was said to have invited men of the Delta State police command who arrested the brother after he supposedly admitted he killed his wife.

The Public Relations officer of the Delta State Police Command DSP Bright Edafe according to one news report was said to have confirmed the report but without giving further details.

GWG reports that the incidents of wife battering and domestic violence have lately been of course to several stakeholders with many Nigerians taking positions to stop the practice. The government through the National Assembly has also proposed legislation to stem the vice.
