Umma Buhari’s Chinese Lover Charged With Murder  

Mr Geng Quangrong, the Chinese lover of Umma Buhari has been charged by the Kano State Police Command with her murder at a Chief Magistrate Court in Normansland, Kano.

According to the police spokesman, Geng was only charged with one count of culpable homicide in the death of the 23-year-old graduate of Kampala University, Uganda.

GWG had reported that the Chinese lover of Ms Buhari was apprehended last weekend after he broke into her family residence and knifed her to death after claiming that she had turned down his request for marriage.

Ummukulsum Buhari was a graduate of Agriculture Science from Kampala University, Uganda, and was said to be undergoing her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme at Sokoto at the time of the tragic incident.

GWG had reported that Ms Buhari had been in a relationship with the accused before she was married off to a Nigerian but the marriage did not last more than few months.

Geng had reportedly returned to continue where their relationship ended but Ms Buhari was said to have declined.

One account alleged that Mr. Geng fumed that he had been betrayed by Umma Buhari after he claimed to have spent heavily on her but to no avail.

It was based on this feeling of alleged betrayal he is reported to have gone to her residence and attacked her.

GWG reports that even before the alleged lover of Ms Buhari was charged for her murder that the Chinese community in Kano had condemned him.
