Buhari Proposes N470b To Meet Key ASUU Demand On Revitalisation Fund

President Muhammadu Buhari has laid the N19.76 2023 budget proposal of the Federal Government before the National Assembly within which he earmarked the sum of N470 billion for the university revitalisation fund.

GWG.NG reports that the University revitalisation fund for public universities is one of the key demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the government’s failure to fund it has been one of the sticky issues that has caused the strike by the lecturers to persist.

Stakeholders will now be waiting to get a reaction from ASUU on the move by President Buhari.
