Attack: I Didn’t Chase Policemen’s Families Away – Apostle Suleman
Apostle Johnson Suleman, President of Omega Fire Ministries, has denied that he chased out families of police officers killed in his convoy when they approached him.
GWG.NG had reported that the attack on Suleman’s convoy in Edo State on Friday killed three police officers, two drivers, and two others.
Suleman claimed in a Facebook post on Monday that some netizens claimed the families of the slain cops came to his house and were chased away.
He also stated that nothing of the sort occurred because he was concerned about the lies being spread about him.
Suleman having debunked the claim that he chased out families of slain police officers, warned his supporters to expect more lies as he slammed rumour mongers.
“I was just told that some social media platforms carried that some families of the slain policemen came to my house and were chased away,” the cleric said.
“My concern is the certainty with which people lie. Nothing of the sort occurred. Expect more lies from them. It is their source of income.”
During the attack on Friday, youths and members of the state’s vigilance group arrested one of the suspects alive and handed him over to the Divisional Police Officer in Auchi, Ayodele Suleiman, who allegedly shot the suspect dead.
Earlier, in response to the 42-second video clip showing the suspect’s corpse in a vehicle, the cleric slammed the police, alleging that it was an attempt to cover up traces that could lead to those responsible for the attack.
