Peter Obi has again taken social media by storm following what many of his supporters have acclaimed as one of the best interviews by a political actor of the present dispensation, that was, however, interjected with the disturbing question on how he maintains his girlfriend.

The interview on Arise TV’s The Morning Show on Monday has further put focus on rival presidential candidates to show presence on a live TV interview.

GWG.NG reports that the interview was anchored by the show’s co-hosts, Dr Rueben Abati and Rufai Oseni.

However, as the interview session tapered off with Obi responding with acclaim to the questions, Dr Abati asked, how he maintains his girlfriend.

It was a question out of the blues. Many Obidients thought it was unfair to ask such a high profile person such a sensitive question on national television. While some were offended, some thought it a joke.

A twitter user, Anita Nnam-obi, expressed her shock saying: ” Imagine Reuben Abati asking Peter Obi a married man how he maintains his girlfriend on Arise TV”.

Other Twitter users were, however, not as peeved as Anita saying that Abati was joking.

There were also some who said that Peter Obi would not give in to extra-marital affairs given his culture of savings and would not afford to sustain a side-chick.

Obi, however, affirmed that he is a happily married man and that he is even struggling to maintain one and could not afford a side-chick or another wife.

Oseni had earlier asked how he would handle insecurity if elected in 2023, citing the US advisory statement on an impending terror attack in Abuja.

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate said he would not reveal how he plans to combat insecurity.

He did, however, state that if elected president, his top priority will be to secure and protect lives and property.

Obi stated that any security subordinates who failed to complete their tasks would be fired from their positions as service chiefs.

The interview was being rated among the best interviews ever given by Obi.
