The police in Punjab, India have launched an investigation after a man claimed he was drugged, kidnapped, and raped by a group of young women.

The man who is a leather factory worker in his early twenties told the police that four ladies bundled him inside a vehicle as he was walking in the city of Jalandhar in Punjab, India, on Monday, Dec. 5.

According to him the ladies sexually assaulted him several times before dumping him in a wooded area late at night.

The man detailed his allegations with local media after deciding not to speak to the police on his wife’s request. She is reported to have told him not to make a complaint, as the family were more preoccupied with him having returned alive.

Remarkably, the embarrassed wife of the man prevailed on him not to make a police report but the incident leaked into the local media prompting the intelligence branch of the Punjab police to initiate an investigation.

According to reports the man was walking on foot along Punjab’s Kapurthala Road when the ladies driving in a white car drove near him and asked him information about a local address written on a piece of paper.

According to the man as he looked at the paper, one of the ladies sprayed a substance into his eyes, which caused him to experience a loss of vision before fainting.

He said that when he woke up, he was sitting in the car blindfolded with his hands tied behind his back.

He said that he was then driven to an unknown forest location and drugged.

After forcing him to drink some of their alcohol, the four women are then alleged to have raped him.

He said that the ladies abandoned him around 3am with his blindfold and hand ties still on, before eventually returning home.
