Resident Doctors Disown Allegations Against Kogi Government
The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Kogi State Specialist Hospital (KSSH), has distanced and dissociated itself from a pernicious article against the Kogi State Government and KSSH Chief Medical Director (CMD), Prof. Isah Yahaya Adagiri.
The association disclosed this in a Communiqué issued at the end of an Emergency Congress, held on Wednesday in Lokoja.
The statement, jointly signed by ARD President, Dr Friday Ameh, and ARD Gen Secretary, Dr Samuel Peter, said that the ARD remained a proficient association whose center values are forward movement, unity, well-being, and good fortune of the individual members.
”ARD – KSSH wishes to state unequivocally that we are not part of any petitions or fusion of any kind of focus at discoloring the great works of his Excellency, Gov. Yahaya Bello, and the achievements of KSSH Chief Medical Director (CMD), Prof. Isah Adagiri.
”As an association that is law-abiding, we completely scowl and separate ourselves from all shapes of pernicious and character harming articles, being disseminated online, in-print or through third parties, targeted at the State Government as well as the CMD and the hospital,” the communiqué said.
The association of resident doctors therefore, acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Governor in repositioning the Health sector within the State, particularly the Kogi State Specialist Hospital KSSH, inter alia.
The ARD-KSSH further commended the exemplary leadership and the milestone transformation the Hospital has witnessed under the guidance of Prof Adagiri.
The association also reaffirmed its commitment to continue to align itself with the aims and objectives of Gov. Bello’s Administration with respect to healthcare in the state. (NAN)
