Lotus Bank Ending 2022 With String Of Awards

Lotus Bank has won the Leadership Bank of the Year 2022 award for its drive in promoting financial inclusion, boosting non-oil export earnings and greatly impacting the financial ecosystem just under two years after it got its banking licence.

Besides, Lotus Bank has also won The Nigerian Finetech Award 2022 as the Best Digital Banking Platform (Non-Interest Bank). Even more, the bank has also won the award as the Best Emerging Islamic Retail Bank, 2022 from Cambridge International Financial Advisory.

A citation by Leadership Newspapers made available to GWG.ng said that the bank promoted by Mrs Hajara Adeola with Mrs Kafilat Araoye had also carved a niche in the Non-Interest Banking sub-sector by quickly delivering on its promises and with it becoming the NIB of choice in the grassroots.

For its drive and impact on improving financial inclusion in Nigeria and its efforts at boosting non-oil export earnings of the country in less than two years since it obtained a banking licence, Lotus Bank is the Leadership Bank of the Year 2022

Lotus  Bank is one of Nigeria’s three non-interest banks (NIB). In just over one year of its existence in the country, it has become the choice of many at the grass roots. Itsfocus is on expanding Nigeria’s financial inclusion through the use of technology.

The bank is the first non-interest bank to commence operations form the South-West geopolitical zone, with a view to serving people of all faiths.

Lotus Bank was founded and is chaired by Mrs Hajara Adeola, who is also the managing director of Lotus Capital, the pioneers of non-interest finance in Nigeria.

Lotus Bank is managed by a team of seasoned professionals and financial experts and chief executive officer, Mrs Kafilat Araoye, who has over 25 years of commercial banking experience.

Launched in July 2021, almost 10 years after NIB began in Nigeria, Lotus Bank currently has around 2 branches and several agent outlets that allow it deploy technology in reaching out to its target customers.

Meanwhile, the organisers of the Nigerian Finetech Award 2022 in giving justification for the recognition given Lotus Bank as having the Best Digital Banking Platform (Non-Interest Bank), said that it was in appreciation of its ability in increasing conversions, capturing more customers and driving digital revenue.
