2023: Vote Politicians With Corruption-Free Agenda – Oluwo

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has urged Nigerians to support candidates in the general elections of 2023 who have legitimate platforms free of corruption.

In his address to Nigerians on the first day of the year, Oba Akanbi made this plea, and he said that in order to restore Nigeria’s glory, it was important to take into account each candidate’s platform whether they had a strong interest in combating corruption.

In the speech, which was made public by Alli Ibraheem, his spokesperson, in Osogbo on Saturday, GWG.ng reports that he explained that corrupt leaders were to blame for the systemic decay in Nigeria and he urged the electorate to speak up by choosing reputable candidates with a track record of success to guarantee a corrupt-free administration.

“I have such hope for Nigeria and Nigerians. Nigeria is endowed with abundant resources that can meet the demands of everyone. Our desired growth is only hampered by corruption and dishonest politicians. The year 2023 will offer a wonderful opportunity to make things right by electing honorable people who will guide us to glory.

“By ensuring that people with uncorrupt agendas are elected, electorates may restore normalcy. We control our own fate. I implore Nigerians to use their voting power to voice their opposition to corrupt politicians who are likely to worsen the country’s problems.

“I express my hope that rational Nigerians will have the chance to put their country back on the path to glory with their votes,” the Oluwo said in his appeal to stop corruption prone candidates in the 2023 polls.
