Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, the spokesperson of the Bola Tinubu Campaign has vowed hell for Atiku Abubakar over the allegations of the use of SPVs in the funding of political parties brought forward by a former associate noting that he has written three agencies to investigate the matter.

Keyamo who accused the press of keeping quiet over the allegations in alleging a conspiracy said that the press was all over the “the Tinubu drug issue’ but had kept mute over the allegations raised by Michael Achimugu against Atiku.

GWG.ng reports that Achimugu had alleged the use of Special Purpose Vehicles, SPVs during the Obasanjo-Atiku administration to siphon money to fund political and other activities.

Obasanjo and Atiku have kept mum over the issue and some Atiku aides including Senator Dino Melaye have debunked the credibility of Achimugu.

However, alleging a conspiracy with some elements of the media to suppress the allegation, Keyamo speaking on Arise News Television on Monday morning disclosed that he had written three agencies of the government to investigate Atiku over the allegations on the SPVs.

Keyamo spoke after he was asked to respond to the legacy of the outgoing government that Tinubu would be used to campaign as he quickly turned into Atiku and the allegations over the SPVs.

He said:

“Let me tell you, that Obasanjo-Atiku regime you are talking about has collapsed with all the boast they were making about that tenure. That tenure is now known as the SPV years with the putrid and smelling revelations coming out now when they were using shell companies to dupe Nigerians and take money from the public coffers.

“No matter how the press plays ostrich on this matter. I had not spoken since, but I now want to speak. No matter how the press plays the ostrich on this matter, it is not going to die.

“But today, I have decided to take up that matter where you have evidence of emails, voice notes, documents where a vice president and president opened companies ….where they were using the companies to take money out of the treasury to fund the PDP and fund their private businesses and their families.

“I have this morning written to three law enforcement agencies and asking for full investigations and if they don’t, I am going to court. Even as a sitting cabinet member, I am going to court.

“You cannot have a vice-president who abused his office when he was in office, who opened shell companies by his own admission, put his cronies and allies there and there is a conspiratorial silence on this matter.

“Nobody is talking about it and they want it to go away and he is not apologizing to Nigerians and withdrawing from the race and that is what he wants to campaign with and you want to use that tenure to compare with President Buhari? He cannot survive this, it is over for him.

“When it is Asiwaju’s drug issue, the press feasted on it and now we are calling on the press to talk about this issue, it is about our national treasury and will not allow it to die.”

GWG.ng reports that the Keyamo memo to the agencies to investigate Atiku on the SPVs has not been made public.
