Keyamo Seeks Substituted Service In Suit To Disqualify Atiku From Election

Festus Keyamo, SAN has sought the leave of an Abuja Federal High Court to serve Atiku Abubakar by means of substituted service the court processes in the suit initiated by him to disqualify the PDP presidential candidate from partaking in the forthcoming election.

GWG.ng had reported the court action initiated by Keyamo who is also the spokesman of the APC presidential campaign and at the same time minister of state for labour and productivity to remove Atiku from the ballot.

The case is upon the claims made by a former Atiku associate, Micahel Achimugu who alleged that Atiku informed him of the use of Special Purpose Vehciles, SPVs to skirt around open corruption when he was vice-president between 1999 and 2007.

Alleging that Atiku’s movement is unpredictable, Seyi Bakare, a litgiation officer in the firm Festus Keyamo Chambers in an affidavit deposed to in Abuja averred that Atiku is also surronded by a ring of security men that makes it impossible for him to serve him with the court process.

Keyamo is thus pleading with the court to serve Atiku by placing the court processes at his Abuja campaign headquarters or through anyone that is seen in the campaign headquarters to enable the court hear the suit to disqualify him.
