The All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain and pastor,  Hon. Pastor Frank Alozie Onwumere alleged to have facilitated a N2 billion bribe from Peter Obi to the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has denied any role or knowledge about the said bribe.

GWG.ng reports that a petition to CAN allegedly authored by Pastor Onwumere surfaced online at the weekend in which he alleged among others that he collected N2 billion from Obi to give to the CAN President to enable the churches mobilise for his presidential ambition.

The petition addressed to CAN president, Dr Daniel Okoh, alleged that the money given to Okoh was misappropriated

However, Pastor Onumere, the alleged facilitator has now denied authoring the petition.

In a statement made available to GWG.ng he said:

Re: “Petition on the misappropriation of N2 Billion given by the presidential candidate of Labour party, Mr Peter Obi to Churches under the umbrella of CAN…”

My attention has been drawn to a petition with the above subject matter purportedly written by one Pastor Frank Onwumere of Dominion Center International.

I wish to use this medium to inform the public, my associates, friends and family, that I, Hon. Pastor Frank Alozie Onwumere, did not author the said petition, and did not authorize anybody to do so on my behalf.

Please be informed that:

1. I am not a member of Dominion Center International and have never had any relationship with the organisation.

2. The author of the petition is not known to me.

Please be assured that it is not in my character to malign any person or institution, let alone revered religious bodies.

Yours truly,

Hon. Pastor Frank Alozie Onwumere.

GWG.ng reports that CAN has also poured cold water on the petition describing the petition about the bribe from Obi as poorly conceived as the acknowledgment stamp was fake.
