Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has shared her thoughts on the importance of voting wisely in Nigeria’s upcoming elections.

In a recent social media post, the actress advised Nigerians not to vote with their conscience, but to vote wisely instead.

According to Tonto Dikeh, telling Nigerians to vote with their conscience is not the best approach because most Nigerians do not have conscience.

Instead, Tonto Dikeh recommends that people should vote wisely because the next eight years of their lives and the growth of the country depend on their choice.

The actress went on to explain that while Nigerians may not be the wisest, their past experiences of pain, setbacks, lack, and suffering should give them a little bit of wisdom when making their decision at the polls.

In June, Tonto Dikeh announced that she that she had been picked as the running mate to the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Rivers State, Tonte Ibraye for the 2023 election.

Tonto Dikeh has been in the news following her recent clash with her ex husband, Olakunle Churchill over their son.

The duo, which has been divorced for seven years, renewed the battle when Churchill pleaded with Tonto to allow him access to his child.

The actress fired back, accusing him of domestic violence, serial cheating and negligence of their child.
