Buhari delivers unit to Tinubu

President Muhammadu Buhari has won his polling unit in Saturday’s presidential and parliamentary elections for the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with Bola Tinubu winning 523 votes in the polling unit.

The APC presidential flagbearer, Sen. Bola Tinubu, won with 523 votes at the polling unit 003, Sarkin Yara A, Daura, Katsina State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, came second with three votes.

The candidates of the NNPP and Labour Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Peter Obi, recorded zero votes.

NAN reports that the president, his wife, Aisha, as well as family members and staff also voted at the polling unit.

The president, who briefly spoke to newsmen after casting his vote, said: ”APC will win, from Daura to Lagos.’’

GWG.ng reports that besides Buhari that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Saturday also won his polling unit to Tinubu.

Makinde had voted at the Polling Unit 01, Ward 11, Abayomi area, Iwo Road, in Ibadan North-East Local Government area.

According to Mr Emmanuel Oduyela, Presiding Officer of the Polling Unit, APC polled 104 to defeat Labour Party and PDP that scored 82 and 27 votes respectively.

Oduyela, while announcing the election results for the Senate and House of Representatives, at the polling unit, said that PDP scored 82 and 79 votes respectively to defeat APC and Labour Party.
