BREAKING: Peter Obi Defeats Tinubu In Lagos

Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate has won the election in Lagos State with 582,454 beating the political godfather of the state, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who was the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state.

Tinubu polled 541, 850 votes.

All the results of the 20 local governments have been declared. Tinubu won in 11 while Obi won in nine local governments. 

GWG.ng reports that Obi pierced through the heart of the Tinubu machine in Lagos when the result of Alimosho came in with Obi winning in what had until now been the backbone of the former governor of Lagos.

However, despite the victory, Labour Party officials in Lagos on Monday morning were claiming that the total votes credited to the party were below their records.
