Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has accused the Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, Honorable Rashidat Abiodun Adu, of sending her people after her.
In a tweet, Henshaw alleged that Adu visited her polling unit during the gubernatorial election and reeled people against her, with some chanting slogans and one of them even threatening to slap her.
Henshaw, who had stepped out to exercise her civic right, expressed her disappointment in Adu and stated that she couldn’t figure out what she did to the chairman to warrant such actions. She further called on Adu to be ashamed of herself for making such moves against her, noting that Lagos State belongs to everyone.
In a video shared by Henshaw on her Twitter page, she can be seen confronting Adu’s people who had allegedly attempted to intimidate her.
She captioned the video, saying: “No one can intimidate me!! I have every right to carry out my duty. No amount of abuse or vitriol will work. You are a public servant!! I have taken note of all your thugs!!”
It is unclear what may have led to the altercation between Henshaw and Adu, but the incident has sparked a conversation on social media. While some Nigerians have expressed their support for Henshaw, others have called for a thorough investigation into the matter.
