Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has opened up on the inspiration for his dancing acts as a senator and now as governor even as he Monday called out his predecessor, Alhaji Isiaka Oyetola to congratulate him over his victory at the Court of Appeal.

Governor Adeleke spoke in an interview on Arise News TV on Monday following the victory at the weekend in the Court of Appeal in the petition lodged against him by his All Progressives Congress, APC predecessor, Oyetola.

Asked if he had heard from Oyetola, he said:

“I am still expecting him (Oyetola) to call me to congratulate me but if he wants to do otherwise  to go ahead to go to the Supreme Court, he has the right to do that.

“When I first came in, I met with all the Obas, the kings to show them where we were on the debt issue. But I have moved on. Yes, I am dealing with him slowly but surely,” Adeleke said.

Asked on what he would do if he met Oyetola, he said:

“If I have the opportunity to meet with the former governor, (Gboyega) Oyetola, we won’t exchange words because democracy is a continuum. I will tell him, my big brother, my friend let’s come together and move Osun State forward.”

Asked for the inspiration behind his dancing acts in public as a senator and now as a governor, Adeleke said:

“When I was in high school, I loved literature and Macbeth this life is like a tale told by an idiot which is full of sound and fury; signifying nothing. Since then when I was in high school and anytime I remember that quote, I take life easy. I love dancing, praising my God and I don’t believe that because you are a senator or governor and even the president, everyone has their hobby, what they do. But there is time for everything, time to dance and even time to work.

“Those that used to say that I love to dance now also know that I love working as my first 100 days have proved that,” Governor Adeleke said of his dancing prowess.

Besides speaking on his dancing acts, Adeleke also responded to a question on how he gets the money for his projects.

“Talking about where the money is coming from, I blocked all the leakages, and I always pray to God to give me the wisdom of Solomon to be able to lead my people. I love my people and my people love me.”
