Bbnaija Pepper Dem Winner, Mercy Eke has taken to social media to remember her father who passed away one year ago.

In an emotional post on her Instagram page, Mercy expressed her grief and deep affection for her late father.

She began by addressing him directly, writing “Letter to my daddy,” and went on to say, “It’s been one year since you left us daddy. I just hate the word April and will never be okay with it.”

She spoke about how difficult it was for her to come to terms with the fact that her father was no longer alive, especially because his passing occurred on April Fools’ Day.

“I will always wish it was a prank,” she wrote. “Nothing will ever make sense to me, it was supposed to be an April fools day, it wasn’t supposed to be real or take forever to hear you call me nenyenwa.”

Mercy shared that she believes her father wanted to stay with his family, but that God had other plans for him.

Despite her heartbreak, Mercy wrote that she has found comfort in knowing that her father is at peace. “I saw what you did, I knew that was you and I hope I made you happy,” she wrote. “You know if life was in our hands, I would have tripled yours.”

Mercy expressed her deep longing to hear her father’s voice again, writing, “I miss you, I miss your calls, I missed asking you what’s the problem, I missed hearing all your complains, will you call me one more time? I really miss you daddie.”

She closed the post by telling her father that she loves him forever and that she hopes he is resting well in heaven. “Are you fine and resting? I hope life over there is more peaceful? I hope you are strong and healthy? We all miss you, I hope you do,” she wrote. “I know God is taking very good care of you. Rest in peace till we meet again.”
