House Of Rep Member-Elect, Ismail Maihanci Dies Few Weeks To Swearing-In  

Ismail Maihanci, Nigerian politician and House of Representatives member-elect for Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency in Taraba State, is dead. 

He was elected under the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and died in the early hours of Saturday.

The funeral is set to take place later in the day in accordance with Islamic customs.

Maihanci who was born on October 22, 1986, worked as a businessman and a Special Adviser to the Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku. He was also previously the Secretary of the PDP in Taraba State.

Sharing the news, Bashir Ahmed tweeted:

“I have just received a sad news about the passing of our brother, Hon. Ismail Maihanci, a member-elect of Jalingo, Yorro and Zing, Federal Constituency in Taraba State. May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannah al-Firdaus”
