Lionel Messi Apologises To PSG, Team Mates Over Saudi Trip

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Lionel Messi, has tendered a public apology to the club and fellow players over his unapproved trip to Saudi Arabia on a promotion tour.

GWG.ng reports that the football icon was on Tuesday suspended by PSG over the trip which the club claimed was unauthorized.

Responding to the backlash following the trip to Saudi Arabia responded late on Friday by posting his explanation on his Instagram stories.

He said, “I thought we were going to have a day off after the game as always happened. I had this trip organised and I couldn’t cancel it.

“I had already cancelled it before. I apologise to my teammates and I’m waiting for what the club wants to do with me.”

GWG.ng reports that whereas Messi had been regarded as a prodigy with the capacity to influence momentum to lead PSG towards Champions Club victory. However, the prospects of the club achieving the continental glory appear to be increasingly devalued for.
