Man Cries Out After N400k From Kidnap Victim Was Paid Into His Account
A Nigerian man has taken to social media to plead for help after his brother was arrested by Nigerian Police officers in Oyo state on Wednesday, June 7.
Tobechukwu claims that his brother received an unexpected N400,000 deposit in his account on June 6 and called his bank to inquire as he hadn’t expected that kind of money.
He claimed that his brother requested a refund from the bank, but that the bank refused to provide him with the account. Later, his brother received a letter from the FCID Alagbon requesting that he appear for questioning.
Tobechukwu added that when his brother and lawyer visited the station, they were informed that the police were looking into a case involving N10 million being taken from the account of a kidnapped guy.
He claimed that the police informed his brother that the N400,000 that was placed into his account was a portion of the funds taken from the account of the kidnapped individual.
