Barrister (Mrs) Victoria Irabor, wife of the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor on Friday led friends and family at a victorious homecoming of the country’s former number one soldier following his handover to his successor.

Mrs Irabor was full of joy and praise to God for her husband’s exemplary career noting how his 40 year service to the fatherland came to a glorious end without any controversy.

The wife for a period put off her normal inhibitions as she publicly danced and embraced her husband home for what promises to be a long vacation or renewed honeymoon.

She said:

After 40 years of service, from my husband’s admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1983 as a cadet officer,  we are grateful to God for his meritorious service, retirement and hand over yesterday, to Major General CG Musa, the new Chief of Defence Staff.

I received the king of my heart, hero, loving husband and father of my children home with pride.

I am indeed proud of you, General LEO Irabor (Rtd) for attaining the highest military rank in the land and serving our nation well.

My joy in this moment culminates from our survival and victory in office.

To God be all the Glory. My Halleluyah is very Loud and I can’t hold back my praises to Jehovah my God.

GWG.ng reports that General Irabor who was appointed as Nigeria’s number one soldier and a four-star general in 2021 handed over to his successor, General Chris Musa on Friday following which the wife, Victoria organised the homecoming.
