Pleasing Surprise As Atiku, Shettima Meet In Abuja (Pictures)
It was a pleasing surprise on Saturday when Vice-President Kashim Shettima and his predecessor in office, Atiku Abubakar teamed up at a wedding in Abuja on Saturday.
The pleasurable surprise came against the background of the fact that Atiku was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who was announced loser of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and victory announced in favour of Shettima’s principal, President Bola Tinubu.
GWG.ng reports that the two parties are presently in court in a judicial contest to outsmart one another.
It was as such a shocking but pleasurable surprise when Atiku and Shettima turned up in almost similar colours at the Abuja wedding of Mohammed Bunu and Ikramullah Jamal Arabi.
The two men, however, set aside their bitter political differences to honour the two families at the wedding which took place at the Al-Nur Mosque, Abuja.
Among other guests at the wedding were the immediate past National Security Adviser, Maj-Gen Babagana Monguno (rtd), former minister of communication and digital economy, Dr Isa Pantami among other political and business glaidators from the Northeast and the rest of the country.
GWG.ng reports that Atiku was vice-president 23 years ago at a time that Shettima was a rising executive at Zenith Bank.
