PDP Senator Mao Ohuabunwa Mourns the Demise of Beloved Wife

In a heart-wrenching Facebook post accompanied by a poignant picture, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, who served under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and represented the Abia North Senatorial district in the 8th Senate has announced the passing of his beloved wife.

The grieving politician expressed his submission to the will of God Almighty as he shared the sad news with the public.

The late Lady Ohuabunwa peacefully departed on July 22, 2023, leaving behind a family devastated by the loss. In the post, Senator Ohuabunwa wrote, “On a very sad note but in total submission to the will of God Almighty, my beloved wife and dotting mother to our lovely children has gone to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We seek your prayers at this very difficult time for our family.”

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Abia’s former governor and the incumbent Senator representing Abia North, expressed his shock and deep sorrow, having experienced the loss of his own wife earlier in the year.

Abia’s PDP vice chairman/acting state publicity secretary, Honourable Elder Abraham Amah, conveyed the party’s shock over the devastating news. “The wife was a strong pillar to Mao Ohuabunwa who is one of us (PDP),” he noted, highlighting the significant role Lady Ohuabunwa played in supporting her husband’s political journey.
