In a significant crackdown on criminal activity, the Lagos State Police Command has successfully apprehended suspects involved in the counterfeiting of engine oil within the state.

The revelation was made by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, through his official X account (formerly known as Twitter). According to SP Hundeyin, the police operation targeted a syndicate engaged in the illicit production of counterfeit versions of well-known engine oil brands.

During the operation, law enforcement authorities managed to confiscate multiple gallons of the counterfeit engine oil, as well as imitation labels that closely resembled those of the reputable Total engine oil brand.

While the names of the arrested suspects have not yet been made public, SP Hundeyin assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway. Once the investigation is complete, the suspects will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
